In a remote corner of Papua New Guinea, a ten-year-old boy named Sereva opens the door to an enchanted world. Among towering trees and mysterious sounds, nature and the ancient traditions of the village blend into a deep harmony, seemingly suspended in time.
Sereva dreams of building his first fishing canoe, but tradition holds that this sacred craft is reserved for elder men.
Through his curious and determined gaze, the documentary takes us on an intimate and universal journey—one that explores the importance of cultural memory, the bond between humans and nature, and the quiet courage it takes to follow one’s dreams.
